"Yeah it's got a
HEMI" a 426
HEMI!!!
**THIS IS AN
AUTHENTIC AND
CORRECT HEMI
CAR, NOT A
CLONE**
Thank you for
viewing our
beautiful
original
Charger! This is
an awesome
example of the
Mopar legacy
that is Hemi.
Named for their
innovative
hemispherical
combustion
chambers and
famous for their
ground pounding
power, the Hemi
struck fear into
the hearts of GM
and Ford
executives who
stuggled to
build a car that
could compete.
Now that the
Hemi legend has
been reborn,
these original
cars are few and
far between, and
have become
investment grade
vehicles. This
car is basically
the same as it
was when it
rolled off the
assembly line.
The 426 motor is
not only
original, it has
never even been
rebuilt! If
you've been
looking for an
original Hemi
Charger, look no
further!!!
We have the
CERTICARD that
reads ( XP29H 51
225998 QQI T5
0303) for this
car. The mileage
reads 68k but
we're not sure
if it has rolled
over or not. It
is very possibly
an original 68k
car considering
its' condition.
After decoding
the build info,
we came up with
the following
specs:
VIN:
XP29H61225998
Car Line: X =
Dodge Charger
Price Class: P
= Premium
Model: XP =
Dodge Charger
Body Type: 29 =
2 Door Sports
Hardtop
Engine Code: H =
426 HEMI 2 4BBL
8 CYL
Model Year: 6 =
1966

MI USA
Sequence No:

125,998th
Vehicle
Exterior:
The car was
owned and babied
by the same
collector for
many years.
During that time
it was stored
indoors, kept
dry, and rarely
driven. All body
lines line up
perfectly. The
paint on this
car is in
excellent shape
and needs
absolutely
nothing. All
brightwork is
also in
excellent shape,
with the slight
exception of the
door handles
which are in
good shape but
are aging a
little (see
photo). Glass
looks great all
around.
Weatherstripping
looks great with
the exception of
the side windows
where it is a
little dry (an
easy
replacement).
The
undercarriage is
in very good
shape and we see
no rust or any
signs of body
work on the car.
The Cragar
chrome wheels
compliment the
car really well.
They are showing
a little age
also and could
use a good
polishing, but
we doubt any
Mopar purist
will have them
on the car for
long. We are
working on
getting the
original hubcaps
and will include
them with the
car if at all
possible. The
tires on the car
aren't too worn
but are showing
their age a
little.
Interior:
Inside the car
is all original
1966 and is in
good shape (see
photos). The
gauges work as
they should and
aftermarket temp
and oil pressure
gauges have been
added.
Headlights work
as they should
but do not close
(a common
problem with
these cars).
Radio is an
eight track and
works, we are
working on
getting the
original radio
from a previous
owner as we
speak.
Mechanical:
This car starts
up, runs, and
drives out
perfectly. The
original
untouched 426
Hemi starts up
easily with no
smoke and
purrs....until
you push
it......then it
screams to life
and blasts the
car forward like
a rocket! The
current owner
tells us he's
had the car up
to 130 mph and
it still had
plenty of pedal
left. The engine
and transmission
are leak free
and both operate
perfectly. The
car has cast
iron exhaust
manifolds. It
also has a new
$90.00 battery.
There is some
slight noise
(not audible in
the car) from #3
cylinder. We
think it's a
valve or ring
sticking from
the car being
stored for so
long.
Compression is
good all around
and it still
runs perfectly
so it is not a
serious problem.
The original 2
4BBL carb setup
looks awesome
and is topped
with a beautiful
chrome air
cleaner. The
engine bay is
clean as you can
see, but could
use a detail to
be show clean.
Thanks again for
your interest in
this beautiful
car!
