Up for grabs is a very unique
and very beautiful 1968 Resto Rod Mustang. As you will see in the photos
this car is beyond remarkable. Externally the car appears sleek and
beautiful but underneath that beauty is where the monster lies. Powered
by a massively built and balanced Chevy 355 from NVR Racing Engines, the
sound this car puts out turns heads no matter where its at. The best
part to it all? You can steal it for far less then what it cost to build
it.
Mechanical:
The motor in this beast is a balanced 355 Chevy from NVR
Racing Engines. It has been equipped with an aluminum intake, iron
heads, headers, MSD ignition, and is backed by a Holly Carburetor. The
transmission is a Muncie 4 speed Hurst shifter which is also new. Both
the motor and transmission have less then 400 miles on both. The rear
end on this car is a new Ford 9" 370 Trac-loc with 31 Spline axels. It
has a timing gear in place of the timing chain. It also has a remote oil
filter. The old radiator was replaced with a new aluminum radiator. In
the trunk you will find a new fuel cell. All of the electrical
components are in good working order (heater, dash lights, dash gauges,
windshield wiper blades). Lastly the car has tilt steering.
Body:
The body and paint work on this car was completed approximately a year
ago. It was done professionally and shines up very nicely. There are
only a couple small blemishes (paint chips) which are located on the top
of the roof and the passenger side wheel well. The floor pans and torque
boxes are very solid and are in great shape. As you can see there have
been some modifications to the body in order to give it the specific
look the previous owner was going for. As you can see in the photos the
spoiler is not stock. It was fabricated and built with fiberglass. It
was done very nicely and gives the car a real stunning appearance. The
door handles were shaved professionally and are not electronic. Just a
simple turn of the key and they pop open. The doors open, shut, and seal
up very nicely. The frame has been tied to give it more support. All
the glass and bright work are in excellent condition. Now the only
negative thing I can really say about the body is the fact that the
trunk has been cut out for the fuel cell. As you will see in the photos
located below the fuel cell was installed professionally. It sits on a
set of a American Torque Thrust wheels with a brand new set of TA
radials.
Interior:
Now the reason why the owner is selling this beauty so cheap. The
interior is older and needs to be redone. The front seats are out of a
Thunderbird and are actually in good shape but I believe they do not do
the car justice. The center console is custom as is the dash. The car
also does not have a back seat. The carpet is older but is all there.
You wont find another 68 Mustang
like this on the face of the Earth nor another 68 Fastback that is in this kind of shape at this price. We are looking

now" price and will ask for a deposit. Once you send the
deposit they are never heard from again. If you spot one of our
